MENTOR ORIENTATION DAY

SEPTEMBER

A fun day of interactive workshops and exciting team-building activities that support mentorship. Mentors learn about their club obligations and develop their leadership and interpersonal skills through interactive workshops. This gives an opportunity to sponsors to deliver speeches, detail their employment opportunities, and showcase your alignment with SPP’s values.

MATCHING DAY

OCTOBER

Our anticipated kick-off event where mentees connect with their mentors, families and corporate supporters. Members engage in team-building activities and mentorship workshops to learn the importance of mentorship and their roles in the business world. This event gives sponsors speaking time, access to member’s resumes and reinforces your commitment to mentorship.

THRIVE

NOVEMBER

SPP’s Flagship Case Competition + Conference event focuses on teaching the case competition fundamentals to first-year students. Teams are paired with a case mentor that guides them throughout the competition where they then present their solution to a panel of judges. Sponsors will have opportunities to be judges, host workshops, and attend networking sessions.

MOCK INTERVIEWS

January

Mock interviews offer participants a chance to learn how to excel at interviews from experienced mentors and industry representatives. Interviewers consist of company representatives from an industry of choice and provides attendees with on-the-spot support and feedback on their performance. As a sponsor, there is an opportunity to host the event, obtain SPP’s resume book, conduct icebreaker activities, and spend one-on-one time with potential employees/recruiters.

SPPECIALIZATION SHOWCASE

January

SPPecialization Showcase is a new event coming to SPP next year. We intend on hosting workshops led by alumni members, upper-year mentors, and company representatives to help students build a strong foundation of academic, social, and professional skills. These workshops will expose students to different industries and allow students to gain clarity on what specialization they would like to pursue during their undergrad at Schulich. Workshops provide an intimate setting for your company to interact with students and also extends a platform to share the firm's vision and values.
